Upina Guayusa Tea — Organic Loose Leaf | Canada's Finest
Guayusa (pronounced why-YOU-sa) is a rare caffeinated leaf from the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon — and the cleanest energy upgrade you'll ever make.
Used by Indigenous Kichwa communities for over 2,000 years as a sacred morning brew, Guayusa delivers smooth, sustained focus without the jitters, crash, or gut burn that comes with coffee. One cup and you'll understand why thousands of Canadians have made the switch.
Why Guayusa Feels Different
Unlike coffee, Guayusa contains three active compounds that work together:
- Caffeine — Real, natural energy to start your day
- Theobromine — The calming stimulant found in dark chocolate; smooths out the caffeine so you feel warm and focused, not wired
- L-Theanine — Promotes relaxed alertness and removes the anxious edge entirely
The result: calm, clean, focused energy that lasts for hours. No racing heart. No mid-morning crash. No digestive discomfort. Just clarity.

How to Brew
How to Brew
Use 1–2 tsp of loose-leaf Guayusa per 8oz of water. Heat water to 90–95°C (just off the boil). Steep for 5–8 minutes. Guayusa won't turn bitter — the longer it steeps, the deeper the flavour. Enjoy plain or with honey and lemon.
