How to Brew Guayusa

Use 1–2 teaspoons of loose-leaf Guayusa per 8 oz of water. Heat water to about 90–95°C (195–200°F), steep for 5–8 minutes, strain and enjoy. Try it plain, with honey and lemon, or brew it strong and serve over ice.

How to Brew

Use 1–2 tsp of loose-leaf Guayusa per 8oz of water. Heat water to 90–95°C (just off the boil). Steep for 5–8 minutes. Guayusa won't turn bitter — the longer it steeps, the deeper the flavour. Enjoy plain or with honey and lemon.

About Guayusa

Ilex guayusa is a caffeinated holly tree native to the Ecuadorian Amazon. Used by Indigenous Kichwa communities for over 2,000 years, it delivers smooth, sustained energy through a unique blend of caffeine, theobromine, and L-theanine — no jitters, no crash, and remarkably gentle on the stomach thanks to its low tannin count.
