Deep in the Ecuadorian Amazon, Guayusa has been cultivated, harvested, and shared by Kichwa communities for generations. More than simply a source of natural energy, Guayusa is deeply connected to the land, culture, and daily life of the people who have carried this tradition forward.

🌿 Harvested by Loving Hands

Our Guayusa leaves are carefully harvested by hand by local Kichwa people in Ecuador. Each harvest begins with a relationship to the land, walking among the lush greenery, selecting the leaves, and gathering them with care.

There is something beautiful about knowing that the leaves in your cup have passed through many loving hands before reaching you.

From the Amazon rainforest, to the hands of the harvesters, to our community here in Canada, Upina is a bridge between people, places, and traditions.

A Connection to the Amazon

Guayusa is a remarkable Amazonian plant. It grows abundantly in the Ecuadorian rainforest and has long been valued by Indigenous communities for its naturally caffeinated leaves.
